NH Collection Roma Palazzo Cinquecento

The rooftop restaurant food was good, and the location made it easy to walk around, with the station close by. The room, though, stayed very hot at night for the first four of our five nights. We complained several times and asked for maintenance, but the AC only came on during the day while we were out exploring Rome. Nike, the relationship manager, finally stepped in on our last night, and we got a good night's sleep. Service really let us down. We chose NH Collection expecting good service and a comfortable room, so we left disappointed.

We found the garden a peaceful little break from the city, a nice spot to relax with a drink. The staff were friendly and professional, and helped with recommendations and arrangements. Our room was spacious and quiet, with a comfortable bed and thoughtful touches that made it relaxing after sightseeing. The hotel combines modern, elegant interiors with a historic building. Its location beside Termini Station was hard to beat, with metro, train, and many sights easy to reach on foot. We had a wonderful stay at NH Collection Roma Palazzo Cinquecento and would definitely return to Rome.

The room was just so-so, maybe four-star at best. The decor felt mismatched, the bed was on roller wheels, and the towels were made of harsh material. We paid extra for a terrace room, but it was at ground level facing the metro, which was a joke. We arrived early and were told they'd text when the room was ready, but no message ever came. Getting off the train was easy, and the hotel is near the train and metro stations. But if the metro is shut, walking or taking taxis is less convenient. The metro is right across the way when it's open, though construction currently makes walks longer. It's not especially close to everything else either. We stayed one night in May, and the place was quiet and felt safe. For the price, you could probably find a better hotel elsewhere. Hopefully the construction will be finished soon.

Roma Termini is right next door, so it's easy to get around. The room was spacious and nicely furnished, and the complimentary breakfast had plenty of choice, including options for American tastes alongside a distinctly Italian spread. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel.
