We were there only briefly, but the stay was still so pleasant. Maria and Donato made us feel like we’d known them for ages, even though we’d only seen them for a short time the night before. The stone house has been beautifully renovated, and the view around it is enchanting. Our room was very clean and welcoming. Donato kept us entertained with stories from his life and showed us around everything he grows in the garden. At breakfast we tried his tomatoes on bruschetta, local cheese, prosciutto, and fruit salad, then Maria brought out a delicious tart with homemade jam. I still need to figure out Donato’s secret aperitif recipe! We came yesterday afternoon for some fresh air during our trip and a one-night stop near Bologna. Maria and Donato welcomed us with such simple kindness and made us feel at home. Donato may have the body of an eighty-year-old, but he has the energy and enthusiasm of a twenty-year-old. He offered us a delicious homemade aperitif as soon as we arrived, made with a secret recipe we had to guess. Such a shame we stayed just one night. We’ll definitely be back.

Maria and Donato welcomed us so warmly that we felt right at home as soon as we arrived at this family-run B&B. The room was spacious and comfortable, with modern bathrooms and a relaxing country feel. Breakfast was delicious, with produce from the garden and local ingredients. Highly recommended!

We spent two days in this secluded, enchanting spot surrounded by nature and had a wonderful time. Mr. Donato and his wife Maria treated us like family. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, with pastries Maria prepared in the traditional way. We also enjoyed hearing stories from the very friendly Mr. Donato. We’ll definitely return.
