Palazzo Buenos Aires

The room was disappointing compared with the photos and earlier reviews. It felt smaller and much older. There was a broken lamp, an exposed power point, and a cigarette lighter left on the window by a previous guest. We reported them to the front desk, but they thanked us and took no further action. Check-in itself was smooth. We had to carry our luggage up a full flight of stairs on arrival, as there are no guest lifts or accessibility ramps. In the bathroom, the toilet seat was broken, the shower doors were off their hinges, and it didn't look as though the room had been properly cleaned. The towels seemed to have been changed, but there was shampoo only, no conditioner. There were just two pillows for two guests, and the safe was locked and couldn't be opened. The room had a Nespresso machine but no pods. Breakfast was included and made up of various frozen items, though it was palatable. The location is good and the price competitive, but our experience was very disappointing, and we won't book again.

We paid about 500 CAD for the stay, but the room had a broken window taped from the inside. One staff member said he'd look into it, then no one came for 20 minutes. When I asked again, I was told nothing could be done and to speak with the boss the next day. Cold air came through the window, and we could also hear street traffic, sirens, bikes, and more. Very disappointing.

The hotel is handy for the metro, which is a plus. The room felt far below what I’d expect from a four-star place, and the service was disgraceful. The price didn’t make sense for what we got.

The staff were so kind and supportive when I had to go to the hospital twice. They even arranged a late checkout because of my health. I spent three nights in a clean, comfortable, quiet room, and breakfast was included and excellent. The boutique hotel is in a lovely spot. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Milan. Thank you.
