Hotel Bellavista

We spent July at Bellavista with six friends and really liked both the hotel and the surrounding area. The evening buffet was a particular favorite. The restaurant space let all seven of us sit together, and the staff were genuinely nice and helpful.

We loved staying here and definitely plan to return. The rooms were spotless, with wooden furniture and Austrian-style decor, and the location is right by Pecol-Col dei Rossi cabin and Toe gondola. Breakfast offered plenty: Italian charcuterie, salami, prosciutto, ham, cheese, pastries, sweets, cereal, yogurt, honey straight from the comb, and excellent Italian specialty coffee. Dinner was delicious too, with lots to choose from. The cook was especially good with pasta and fish, as well as wild game, so booking dinner with the room seems like a good idea. The staff were friendly and helpful. Franco is quite a character, and everyone seemed to work from 6 AM until late. There’s also a tiny sauna spa, nice for warming up after skiing. A few guests chose to use it naked, which was an exotic sight, usually the German kind of guest.

The views really do match the name. We stopped by for food and drinks a few times and enjoyed it every visit. Friendly, fairly efficient service, good food and great value. Nothing to complain about. Highly recommended.

Our room was on the small side, especially compared with the much larger room a couple of friends got for the same price, with a table and chairs in a lounge area. Ours had direct access to the terrace, though, and since we were out 90% of the time, the size didn’t bother us much. We came for a ski holiday with half board. The location is right by the start of the ski trails, and your ski ticket lets you take the cable car to Canazei. Breakfast and dinner were both really good, with generous portions, choices at dinner and a great wine list. The restaurant staff stayed very nice even on a busy night. Everyone was welcoming and helpful from arrival through the rest of our stay. I’d recommend it without hesitation.
