This rifugio is in a beautiful spot beneath the mountain, right beside the main road, and makes an excellent starting point for the Sella Ronda. They also have bike storage. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and very good quality.

The family running this remote mountain chalet were friendly and helpful, and the half-board food and dining room atmosphere were both excellent. We stayed two nights in January and found it a welcome alternative to the busy, more expensive villages in the valley. The Tyrolean-style building felt warm and inviting, with lovely views between Canazei and the Sella pass toward Val Gardena. The location needn't put you off in winter, the family shuttle took guests to the base of either of two nearby ski lifts in the morning. There are also plenty of walking trails in summer.

We were so glad we picked Rifugio Monti Pallidi. The owners made us feel very welcome, and the staff were lovely. Our room was comfortable and clean, the food was delicious, and the views and setting were breathtaking. We'd be happy to return.

A peaceful little mountain place, with plenty of hiking choices and a short walk to the chair lifts. We slept well in comfy beds, enjoyed a good dinner and the range at breakfast, and found the staff nice. Alan the dog was adorable. I'd recommend it for a relaxing break.

The staff were so friendly that they even put together sandwiches for us when we had to leave early for the mountains instead of having breakfast. We stayed four nights, and our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The food was very good too. It's a special place for me, and I'd like to return.
