We could walk into the village to pick up whatever we needed, and Siracusa was easy to reach. There were also lovely, authentic restaurants nearby. Villa Margherita itself was a beautiful, spacious casa with a garden and a lovely pool. We really enjoyed staying there. The four turtles, two cats, and one chicken came by each day and kept us entertained.

We stayed in the last week of April and the temperatures were still comfortable. The outdoor pool and the lovely garden, with orange and lemon trees, other tropical plants, and resident tortoises, made it a beautiful place to stay. The villa was well equipped, and the owner was friendly, very helpful, and easy to reach. There’s a remote controlled gate and safe parking inside the property.
