The owner was so welcoming and kind, and treated us and our one-and-a-half-year-old son like family, almost as if we were at his grandmother’s house. We spent two nights at Poggio La Grognola, up on a hill amid greenery, with spectacular views of the area. Assisi and other places are only a few minutes away by car. The rooms were carefully kept and very clean, inside and out, and the homemade breakfast desserts were a lovely touch.

The hospitality was extraordinary, and the kind lady Gabriella prepared a generous, plentiful breakfast. The charming property is quiet, surrounded by nature, and has views of Assisi. Rooms are clean and equipped with every comfort, and there’s free private parking. Thank you for everything.

Breakfast was a treat, with excellent pastries the owner makes herself. She’s also very kind. The room was spacious and clean, and so was the bathroom. The property sits on a hill overlooking Assisi and beyond. There’s a restaurant/pizzeria near the village of Collemancio, just a short trip away. The only drawback is that you absolutely need a vehicle to get here. Well done!

We visited in August 2020. The owner made us feel very welcome and was extremely kind. The property is beautifully located, with a panoramic view of Assisi. It’s very well maintained, the charming rooms are comfortably furnished, and cleanliness is impeccable.

Set among the green Umbrian hills, Poggio La Grognola is less than a ten-minute walk from the village of Collemancio. Gabriella, the owner, really pampers her guests at breakfast with fresh homemade pastries, fruit juices, yogurt, and Umbrian hams and cured meats. In warmer weather, breakfast is served on the veranda overlooking the large garden, which is furnished with lovely, colorful touches, as is the rest of the house. Dogs are welcome at this B&B at no extra charge.
