The view from so high up the mountain is magnificent. There’s a big choice of desserts, good vegetarian dishes, and lovely dogs wandering around. It feels like a genuinely authentic restaurant.

The mountain goats, forest nearby, and clouds passing through the house made the stay special, and I loved the lake view, the food, and the solar lighting. Our room was lovely, and the local food was tasty, especially the fresh homemade cheese, bread, and jam. The downsides were no Wi-Fi or TV, no heating except a wood fire, and a very cold floor. It rained all three days, and they had no umbrellas, which was the most disappointing part.

This little family-run farm lodge has a fantastic view of Log Maggiore. Everything we tried was freshly made with local ingredients and tasted great. The desserts were a real surprise, especially the tiramisu, which may be one of the best I’ve ever had.

The view is something else, and the people were very friendly. I only stopped for a drink, but we’re planning to stay here soon. Just take care on the narrow road.
