Garni Elvezia

The location is convenient, just a couple of minutes' walk from the lakefront, and the rooms were very clean. But ours was plain, had almost no natural light, and had no atmosphere. This feels like an expensive B&B rather than a hotel, with no facilities. Staff had all left by 8:15 pm and were hard to find at checkout. They also wanted payment on arrival. Private parking was included, but breakfast cost another eur 7.5 per person. At EUR 134 for a double in October, it seems overpriced, which may explain the few guests. It wasn't awful, but I wouldn't return.

The two managers, Alice and Alessia, were so friendly and helpful, always smiling, and the service made our stay at Hotel Elvezia excellent. We loved the delicious breakfast, served in the garden in just the right amount. Our room was spacious and spotless, with a modern, new look, a comfortable bed, a large balcony, and a roomy bathroom. The hotel is central and quiet, very well located, about 6 km from the Italy-Switzerland border. It's a three-star hotel, fully renovated in 2020. We stayed four days and will definitely be back soon to enjoy this beautiful region again.

A neat, modernly equipped hotel in a perfect spot in Cannobio. The rooms were tidy and clean, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. I'd come again!

The two sisters were so welcoming and friendly. The renovated rooms are beautiful, with views, and there's a lovely garden. A great place to stay near the boulevard, with everything you need in Cannobio.
