The restaurant was a highlight for us, with tasty traditional Piedmontese food, nicely presented, and a decent wine list. The bar terrace has mountain views that bring a real sense of peace. After a hike, it’s a lovely, relaxing place to unwind. This romantic inn is spread through the little village of Preit, with rooms in several buildings just steps from the bar and restaurant at the heart of the property. The rooms are tastefully furnished and reflect the place’s origins. The owners and staff are friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They’re happy to chat and suggest walks, local food, shows, and festivals, and share information about Occitan traditions and customs. A must-visit if you’re in the area.

We had a wonderful stay in the “newlyweds’ room” in this hotel spread across several buildings in the charming mountain village of Preit, in the valley of the same name. The owner’s cooking was truly excellent, and the owners were courteous and helpful. There was a boiler problem when we arrived, but the owner sorted it out promptly. The panoramic terrace beside reception is a lovely spot for a leisurely breakfast.
