I slept really well in the spacious, bright rooms at B&B Venere. The high ceilings help keep them cool on hot days, and the place works well for families, couples, or groups looking for a comfortable, peaceful stay. Breakfast was served outside in the garden under umbrellas, or indoors in a cool spot by the pool, and they were happy to make it suit my preferences. The welcome was warm and the hosts were always around to help. The setting makes it easy to get around. The Temples of Paestum are a 10-minute walk away. For the beach, it’s about 19 minutes on foot or 2 minutes by car, and the host has additional services right by the sea. There’s also easy entry and secure parking through the automatic gate. I loved the fresh sea air mixed with the scents of nature and tradition. Food was another highlight. A short walk away are some of the best mozzarella di bufala producers in the world, where this well-known cheese was first created. Trying it fresh from the source was unforgettable, and there are plenty of other local specialties to enjoy. B&B Venere felt like a home away from home, and I’d love to return.

My wife had health problems, so I had to cancel the trip six days before we were due to leave. I’d already paid, but when I got in touch, the hotel kindly let me cancel and refunded the whole amount. Thanks so much. I hope to see you soon.

The breakfast was a feast, with more than eight cakes, yogurt, fruit, cured meats, muffins, eggs and plenty more to choose from. There were little hearts on the napkins, a red heart-shaped biscuit on the croissant, and a homemade heart-shaped cake that was delicious. Even our room had a sweet surprise: three red balloons from the ceiling, heart-shaped lights strung across the bed, and a heart-wrapped pack of two Baci Perugina chocolates. Wow! We’d just returned from Paestum and stayed at B&B Venere. It’s a welcoming place, kept up beautifully inside and out. The owner gave us the room key when we arrived yesterday morning, and all those thoughtful touches were waiting for us. The kindness and helpfulness really stand out. Go there and relax! WONDERFUL says it all.
