Right on the main square, and such a lovely place. Our room was spotless, and Antonieta welcomed us so warmly, as did her daughter Angela. I wasn’t feeling great at breakfast, so they even packed a croissant for me.

The area was a welcome change from the busy Amalfi coast, which still felt crowded even in the shoulder season at the end of October. Capaccio is up on the hill, about 15 minutes by car from Paestum, where the archaeological site and museum were really interesting. We also had an amazing dinner in Capaccio at #exnovo, which I’ll review separately. The place is exactly like the listing photos, modern and clean, with cool exposed 15th century walls, I think. Antonietta was a lovely host. It was a hidden gem, though we had a little trouble finding it: the sign is understated, and Google Maps sent us along a road temporarily closed for construction. It’s literally in the clock tower.
A stylish spot in an old Southern Italy neighborhood, with very friendly staff and great value. Really lovely, highly recommended.
The warm welcome and genuine kindness are what made me feel at home straight away. The beds were so comfortable, and everything was impeccably clean. Breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and the quality finishes add a bit of extra charm. A special little place where every detail feels poetic. I’d come back!
