We came wanting to be near the Paestum Archaeological site and found a quiet little oasis, with lovely amenities, fabulous food, and excellent service. It turned out to be a wonderful, family friendly, full service hotel. The staff were warm and helpful, and the kitchen handled my dietary restrictions easily and safely. There's a pool, a lovely beach area, and fun activities for children.
The location is just a minute from a beautiful beach, and we even went swimming in October. The resort is elegant and carefully maintained, with comfortable, bright apartments, a very comfortable bed, and a large bathroom. Housekeeping was impeccable. The staff were kind, professional, and fun to be around, and they were especially understanding and helpful while we stayed by the pool partying until 4am. The owners, facilities, and atmosphere were all spectacular. I absolutely plan to return and tell my friends back home about it. Thanks, see you soon!
The resort was fine, and the room was adequate. But in my opinion the neighborhood around it didn't feel safe, and I wouldn't want to bring my family there. I'd strongly suggest looking into the surrounding area before booking. I reserved three days, but after arriving I chose to stay only one night.
Our kids loved the club, with activities on the beach from 10-12 and at the children's centre from 4-6, plus the evening entertainment that starts at 21:40. We spent happy hours playing together and with other children in the pool. We're from England, and there was only one other English couple, but it was lovely seeing the kids play with children from across Europe. We'd already spent a week in Cilento at a villa and wanted to finish the trip with three nights at this lovely hotel. It did exactly what we hoped. It's extremely family friendly, and we'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a resort for families.
The main restaurant was our one disappointment. Dinner choices seemed limited and bland, a little expensive for the portions, and less interesting than we expected. The cooking wasn't bad, though, and staff seemed open to personal requests. Across the hotel, people were friendly and professional, and the family owners were often around asking how things were going. We were looking for somewhere suited to families with small children, and this fit well. It's a quiet spot in Paestum, about 45 minutes by car from Salerno, close to the beach and within driving distance of the Paestum archeological park. The recently renovated apartment had a patio and small garden where the children could play safely in the shade. The grounds are leafy, with airy two level buildings around the pool, and there's a kids club, animators, and an evening disco for children. The private beach is a short walk away, with wide fine sand and shallow water that's great for little ones. You do have to cross a road to reach the forest path, and drivers don't always stop at the pedestrian crossing. We did see a hotel employee standing there to help people cross.
