Agriturismo il Fontino

Il Fontino is a 17th-century farmhouse, renovated with care and furnished with lovely taste. It sits in a beautiful garden with an ancient olive grove, and the silence feels almost unreal. We stayed with my husband over the May 1st long weekend, in this little corner of paradise surrounded by nature, just a few kilometers from the sea. Ms. Asia was an impeccable hostess, so kind and helpful. She welcomed us into the beautiful sitting room with a fireplace, where she sets out breakfast each morning with such attention to detail. It was excellent, with local products, homemade jams and cakes, a fresh egg omelette, delicious yogurt, and coffee made in the Moka pot that really makes you feel at home. That coffee fits the rest of the breakfast perfectly. People who complain about it and want anonymous pod machines should go somewhere anonymous instead. Thank you, Asia, for such a wonderful stay. A stay in the Maremma is a wonderful, authentic experience, and the hospitality here made it even better. The agriturismo sits in beautiful natural surroundings, with lovely rustic architecture and furnishings. The owners really go out of their way to make your stay more enjoyable. I sincerely recommend it to anyone who values authenticity and courtesy.

It’s a quiet, beautiful old farmhouse with lots of cats, two dogs, and an ostrich. Our apartment isn’t very big for five of us. It’s a 3+1, so you have to adapt, but it can be done.

The property is beautiful, surrounded by greenery, and very quiet. The one letdown was the cleaning in the bathroom and room. It felt very superficial.
