The location made our weekend especially nice: we could walk to the medieval town in about five minutes, with lots of delicious restaurants there, though it’s a good idea to book ahead. Valle del Buttero sits in a quiet, green, beautiful town, and the hotel staff made us feel at home. They even went out of their way to organize cars and excursions. Breakfast is served daily, with a bar for coffee and evening aperitivo, plus a beautiful pool for enjoying the sun. We had a lovely long weekend and highly recommend both the hotel and this part of Tuscany.

Though it’s rated three stars in 2026, the warmth and service felt like a five-star hotel. Julia at the desk was adorable and explained everything in perfect English, while Bruschetta the cat kept an eye on us and made sure we felt at home. The room was superb, and the view was even better. The village is cozy and amazing too. Free parking, wonderful service, and good breakfast. We’d love to come back. Go Bruschetta 🐱

We had a wonderful stay at Valle del Buttero. The staff were super friendly, our room was spotless, and breakfast was amazing. The pool is beautiful, with a bar serving light lunches, and the price was very good for what you get. I’d definitely recommend it and come back on another visit to Tuscany.

Capalbio itself is a beautiful hidden gem, and the hotel is perfectly placed for exploring the region. Our room and the hotel were spotless, parking was convenient, and both the breakfast and friendly service were very good. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Valle Del Buttero.

A dream stay! The hotel is within an easy walk of the castle, town, and restaurants. The rooms were gorgeous, breakfast was amazing, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I’d highly recommend it to everyone.
