BB Manfredonia Jacuzzi

I used to go there on weekends. I often pass by now, and noticed they’ve installed what looks like an external camera, though I could be wrong. I haven’t seen a video surveillance sign. People want their privacy too, unfortunately.

The staff were friendly, but the stay was anything but pleasant. Every time we turned on the Jacuzzi, it smelled strongly of rotten eggs, which seemed like poor maintenance. We had booked a stay, then were only told at the last minute about a supposed boiler problem and our reservation was canceled. After that, they contacted us and asked us to come back to the B&B, putting us in a different room with a vague promise of a free room next time. It’s also far from the city center.

The bathroom glasses and toothbrush holder were dirty, and the attached photo shows it. There was no proper soundproofing, and the room had no windows. Damp covered the walls, with paintings apparently used to hide it. The bathtub gave off a strong sewer smell when switched on, and its blocked drain let out very little water. The bathroom window latch was broken, so it would not close fully. I was also contacted after booking and asked to leave a positive review in return for free breakfast or prosecco. That could explain the many positive reviews, which may mislead future guests. Offering a place in this condition as accommodation is shameful.

The setting was extraordinary, with the sea close by, and discovering the sea area and the Source of Christ was a real highlight. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Angelo, the owner, was kind and always helpful, and the woman at the breakfast bar and the discreet, lovely cleaning staff were just as welcoming. We had a wonderful time here. Wonderbox brought us to this magnificent place, and we’re especially grateful to Angelo. See you soon 😘😚. Go and tell people about it.
