We loved the house, especially the fantastic pool. At 7m x 11 m, it was a great choice during the 38-degree heat. Fresh air from the wooded hills made those hot days feel less oppressive than in the cities. The location also worked perfectly for relaxing and visiting Lucca and Pisa, and we enjoyed a wonderful walk up into the hills. The house is well equipped, including the kitchen, where you can cook anything. Communication with the renters was very good, and they resolved the problems we had. It does get hot inside, above 27 degrees, so in summer the air conditioning needs to run for several hours during the day. The main drawback was the cold floor. You need slippers, and a baby can't lie on it for long.

For what it cost, I found the stay really disappointing. We had little contact with the hosts, and they offered no tips. There was no Wi-Fi in the room, and the house was poorly insulated, so noise carried through the whole place at night. Breakfast felt industrial.
