Jerry & Titty House

I don't know this place, I haven't been there.

The room was really clean and comfortable, right in the town centre. Titty was a lovely host and did her best to meet my needs, so I have no complaints.

The rooms are comfortable and convenient, and the lady was very helpful. I'm really pleased with the place.

My group of seven was booked for one night on April 24th, after I arranged it in January 2023, more than three months ahead. The lady confirmed the booking, and we had agreed on everything. I called again a couple of weeks before to check, only to hear that she'd made a mistake and given our rooms to a group of 11 for two nights. She said she couldn't turn away the other group because they were already staying there, and pointed to their larger numbers and longer booking as the reason my group could no longer be accommodated. I asked her to find another solution for the group she'd mistakenly double-booked, but she wouldn't. Her only response was, “I'M SORRY.” After that, she sent links to other places in Capena to try to make things right. With only a few days to go, those options cost considerably more than the rate we'd agreed on three months earlier. I'd booked for a group that included elderly people and children. I kept wondering what would have happened if I hadn't called and we'd arrived on the evening of April 24th with the confirmation in hand. Where would everyone have slept, out on the street? The owner admitted she'd double-booked the same dates, then chose which party to host, perhaps based on who had booked first or who brought in more money. It was a terrible experience with the owner. I wouldn't rule out the property altogether, but I'd call a few weeks ahead to avoid a nasty surprise on arrival, or the possibility of being left without a place to sleep because a larger group took your spot.
