From Capestrano, it’s easy to get to the mountains, lakes, sea, and the little towns scattered through the hills and valleys of Abruzzo. Casa Senatore deserves to be the heart of a stay in the region. The building’s beauty is hard to put into words, and a piece of it is sure to stay with you. The hosts make you feel like family and are always on hand to help. Every room has handmade linens, antique furniture, and thoughtful touches that made me feel cared for as well as welcome. The hosts’ attention showed in everything, from the decor and breakfast choices to their kindness and the comfortable rooms. The location is breathtaking. This magnificent place in the old town of Capestrano is a wonderful base for visiting Abruzzo.

The owner was so kind and helpful, and breakfast was good. We even got freshly baked pastries. We spent one night in an apartment at Casa Senatore and were very happy with it. The whole building is carefully furnished and feels like stepping into another era. The apartment itself is wonderful, especially the living room, with frescoes on every wall. It was a great experience.

Breakfast had lots of choices, including delicious homemade pastries. Our room was cozy, clean, and quiet, and we felt at home at Casa Senatore from the moment we arrived, thanks to the unusually kind and helpful welcome. Capestrano is a great base: nearby attractions were just 10-30 minutes away, including Capodacqua Lake, canoeing on the Tirino River, Navelli, horseback riding at the Auriga stables, and Rocca Calascio Castle.

We loved Capestrano, and Casa Senatore was a big part of that. Simona gave us a perfect welcome, and Massimo was especially friendly and kind, with great suggestions for places to visit and restaurants. Breakfast had everything we needed and more. We stayed two nights in this lovely house, and were able to park our motorcycle right outside. We’ll definitely return.
