Via Francigena / 2025-04-10: Clean accommodation, and the host was responsive. I was told the James Bond crew stayed at this hotel for nearly three months while filming. Pilgrims leaving early should know reception doesn’t open until 0900h.

I liked having windows on both sides of the Casa Vacanze apartment, with fresh air and great views. The apartment was clean and quaint, and the staff went out of their way to take care of everything we needed. It’s also in an excellent spot, close to many Siena attractions.

We loved the place from the time we arrived until we left. The staff welcomed us warmly and gave us excellent advice, especially about restaurants. The apartment was perfect, with every appliance working properly, and it’s very central. Definitely a five-star visit!
