I rode in during the middle of October and really liked the room for the price. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, the water was hot, and the fan was a nice touch. I didn't use or figure out the radiator. As far as I could tell, you have to ask for help to switch on the heater, though I left it off and was fine. The shower mount had pulled a little out of the wall, but it wasn't a big deal. The hotel is split across two buildings but it's the same business. I got a bit lost, though Google Maps has the right location. Check in at the bar/restaurant with the hotel name printed in small letters in the corner of the sign. Bring your bike up the outside stairs to your room, or leave it outside on the balcony. As a bicycle tourist, I highly recommend the place. They serve a good, very traditional meal, though nothing special, and I found it a little expensive. I had a large bowl of pasta with meat sauce, a decent-sized pan-fried steak, and a varied salad. It was a good home-cooked meal. The very nice lady asked when I booked whether I wanted traditional food, and I said yes, of course. They had it ready exactly when I asked. My meal was probably half the cost of the room. If you're traveling alone on a tight budget, maybe negotiate the price or find a local pizza somewhere else. For a romantic dinner with someone, go for it. At breakfast I was asked if I wanted coffee. I waited until all the staff were there, but nobody offered me breakfast. I picked up some chips and asked to pay, and they charged me only for the snacks. I probably could have asked about the free breakfast, but I didn't. Later there was a problem with my card, and the ladies used Google Translate to communicate with me. They were nice and handled it appropriately. The room rate is good, and you can choose whether to have dinner. Thanks very much!

The calm setting was a real highlight, close to Avezzano and its amenities while surrounded by nature and far from the daily bustle. We had a lovely stay at this family-run hotel. Our room was charming, clean, and thoughtfully furnished, with what we needed to be comfortable. There were a few small uncertainties with the service. We were told the owners were dealing with a very delicate family situation, and their genuine kindness made their efforts easy to understand and appreciate. I think the experience would be impeccable under normal circumstances. The price is a little high, but the distinctive atmosphere and overall stay made it worthwhile.

It's a quiet spot, and the two sisters who run it were impeccably friendly. The takeout food was good too.
