A month before the truffle festival, I had a written booking for a room. When I called today to give them my arrival time, I found out they had rented it to someone else. I travel all over the world and have never come across this kind of dishonesty or lack of seriousness. After a holiday ruined like this, I could seek damages, but I’m not taking action. There’s very little you can trust here.

Capizzi was the endpoint of our Camino de Santiago in Sicily, from Caltagirone to Capizzi. The staff were kind and paid attention to what we needed. Our room and bathroom were both new and clean, and the place is just 20 meters from the Church of Maria delle Grazie and the bus stop.

We really enjoyed staying here. It’s close to the center, so Capizzi’s main sights are easy to get to, and parking was straightforward. The rooms and facilities were clean and new, with lovely fresh-smelling linens. Breakfast was excellent, though it was served at a nearby café, which was a shame.

Breakfast at the bar was a drink and a croissant. The room was clean, if a little small, and the bathroom was next door. There was a small window.
