Villa Bonaccorso - Il Casotto il Limone Verde

We came with friends, but the photos gave a very misleading impression. The house was dirty and neglected, there was no hot water, and the pool didn't look like the pictures and was poorly maintained. I strongly wouldn't recommend it, especially to families with children.

The place itself sits in lovely countryside, but we felt badly treated and wouldn't stay again. Our room was in an annex, cut off from the rest of the property. It hadn't been cleaned properly, the wiring was outdated, and there wasn't even a towel rail in the bathroom. One of the dogs barked all night and kept us awake, though I love animals. When we told the owner, all we got was a WhatsApp message and no apology. I usually avoid leaving negative reviews, but this experience called for one.

We booked through a travel agency we trusted, which described this as an annex to a villa. In reality, it looked like a ruin turned into an illegal dwelling. The electrical system seemed below standard, and the meter looked fake and ancient, mounted in the bathroom. There were mosquitoes everywhere, midges by the stove, and no bidet. The small folding travel hairdryer also seemed unsuitable for this kind of accommodation. Housekeeping was poor, with a cobweb hanging from the ceiling by the bed. The place was in the middle of nowhere.

The pool area was fantastic, and the owners were very kind. It's a beautiful spot for a quiet break in nature with a sea view. A great place if you want to relax.
