Albergo Golfo Azzurro

We had a fantastic stay, with a great location and host. I'd recommend choosing this place. It's under new management from Aug 2022, so the older reviews don't apply. Parking is difficult, though that's the case across the whole island.

The view was the one saving grace. Otherwise, I'd avoid this place. We paid €276 for three nights in room no. 8, which was disappointing. It was dirty, with cobwebs on parts of the walls and blankets that smelled strongly of damp. The bathroom was in awful shape too, with taps covered in limescale, a dirty shower and water that turned freezing after a few minutes. The fridge gave electric shocks, five of them to my boyfriend. The hair dryer didn't work, and the air conditioning started leaking at one point, leaving a huge puddle beside the bed. On checkout morning, there were ants all over the coffee corner, and the bathroom sink began leaking as well. We reported all of it, but the owner seemed completely surprised by every problem. Giulia at reception was the only positive: kind, polite and professional, though she seemed entirely out of place in that setting. If I could, I'd give it zero stars.

I felt listened to, looked after and, above all, at home. Everyone was so genuinely kind and helpful, from the owner to his sweet mother and the cleaning lady. That kind of welcome is rare. The hotel itself is lovely, with a vintage look and careful attention to every detail. Sincere compliments! Giuliano.

We were cycling around the island and stayed here for one night. The view is beautiful and the location is superb, only a short walk from the main square. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, even letting us leave our bags for a taxi to collect and take to the port. Highly recommended.
