Albergo Romana

We just got back from ten days on Elba, and the location made getting around so easy. The sea bus to Porto Azzurro and the bus to Capoliveri both leave right in front of the hotel, so we could forget the car in the evenings and avoid the parking chaos. During the day it was handy to drive to the beaches. The hotel overlooks Naregno beach. Everything was perfect, from Mrs. Giovanna's welcome when we arrived and her morning greetings to her precious beach tips, which were better than the app. Mr. Amelio's stories and friendliness are a treasure. The grounds, including the pool, were orderly and clean, and the same care carried into the rooms. We absolutely recommend it!

The sea was so clear and transparent, and the beach is just 30 meters away, well set up for water sports. It's a good base for exploring the beaches on the eastern side of the island. Capoliveri is five minutes away by car or shuttle, and it's a charming village where the narrow streets come alive with shops and restaurants in the evening. We spent a week here as a family. Mr. Amelio and his wife made us feel at home. Breakfast was excellent, with homemade desserts, and dinner was varied and delicious, with three first courses and three second courses to pick from. The pool was lovely, the rooms comfortable, and there was plenty of parking. Nothing was missing.

After arriving on Elba Island and getting settled into our room, we headed straight to the sea since it was so close. First swim of the year.

The pool was lovely and a great place to relax, and the beach is just steps away. It was also easy to get to Capoliveri, especially in the evening by bus. We spent ten days here in August with the family and had a wonderful time. Our room was spacious, quiet and clean, the owners were kind and helpful, and the location was excellent. Breakfast and dinner suited us perfectly. A relaxing holiday on Elba Island.
