A functional, comfortable, modern, and quiet house, kept very clean and surrounded by greenery. The outside is just as well maintained. The owners were very kind. We'll be back!

UNRELIABLE. After the offer email arrived, I called the owner. She said I first needed to confirm the booking with the agency managing the apartment. The following day she called back to say it was available and that an email from me would be enough to reserve it. I sent one. On the morning our stay was due to start, I called from Piombino before boarding the ferry and got no answer. I tried again after we arrived in Portoferraio, and she told me the apartment was no longer available. She said she hadn't received my email. She'd written down my name but not my phone number, even though she'd used that number to confirm availability. I see that as a lack of credibility.

The terrace has a beautiful view, and the lady was very kind. The sea is a 10-minute walk away, but the beaches with sand and crystal-clear water are 30 minutes away and worth the trip. Towels, sheets, and cleaning products for the apartment weren't provided.

The apartment was clean and had everything we needed, and the owner was friendly and helpful. The internet was a little weak, though that's the case across the island. It's a beautiful, peaceful spot with a lovely view of the gulf, about 5 minutes by car from town.
