Villetta Le Pitte - Isola d Elba

The house is small and basic, but has everything we needed, including a little terrace with a sea view, table, and chairs. Our Labrador loved it too, and it seems especially suited to people traveling with dogs. The owners were kind and helpful. It's a lovely spot among Mediterranean scrub, with a shaded path down to the sea, about 500 meters away. You can also walk into Capoliveri in around 10 minutes on a steep path starting at the house. The small TV was the one letdown, since reception problems meant it didn't always work.

It was peaceful, with lovely nature around, and I liked the sea-facing location. But it's quite isolated, with nothing close by, so you need the car for everything. We also had a serious ant problem in our little house. Spraying insecticide alone won't fix it. We reported it and hope it gets sorted out for the next guests.

A small beach is within walking distance, and the spot feels both quiet and central. Capoliveri is a popular holiday destination and home to half of Elba's beaches. The island's loveliest view is here, with spectacular sunsets over the Stella Gulf. Highly recommended.

They were very kind and helpful, and the cleanliness was satisfactory. The apartment is small but works fine. It could use better upkeep and a few simple touches: shelves in the bathroom and shower, hooks for towels in the bathroom and living room, and some updating to the doors and shutters.
