Casa Gaia

The host was good, but I can’t recommend this place. The room smelled damp, there was no light at its entrance or in the garden, and the bed was uncomfortable. Bedbugs had nested in it, biting and itching us so much that we couldn’t sleep. It’s close to the ferry, but far from the center. At night the route is deserted and dark, and there are mice in the street. There’s no reception, just a key left in a box. The taxi drops you some distance from the location.

Gaia greeted us in person and spent plenty of time sharing useful information and tips about the island. This is such a cute little casa, close to the main harbor and with lovely attention to detail. I’d definitely stay here again on another trip to Capri!

The hotel is in a beautiful spot and conveniently close to Capri’s main area. Gaia was such a lovely host, warm, friendly, and full of helpful information about things to do on Capri. Probably the best hostess I’ve come across.

Stay away at all cost! The rooms were dirty, outdated, and infested. It’s off the road, so be ready for a 15-minute hike to your dungeon. After a day out, we came back to find bugs in our bed and all over our luggage. We checked out early, but the owner refused to refund us. Very rude and unprofessional.
