Hotel La Tosca

We felt at home here, thanks to the amazing staff. Ettore was helpful from the time we booked until checkout, and Michele, his wife, was wonderful along with everyone else on the team. Breakfast each morning came with a beautiful view. Definitely consider Hotel La Tosca when planning a trip to Capri.

After two months travelling around France, Switzerland, Germany, and Italy, I’m ending my vacation at my favourite place to stay: Hotel La Tosca. I’d planned nine days on Capri for hiking and scuba diving, and I’m so glad I found it. I’ve walked many trails on the island and passed plenty of hotels, but I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. You enter as customers and leave as friends. It’s family-owned, and you can see how proud Ettore is of the hotel that’s been in his family. He and his wife, Michelle, are lovely, professional people. Ettore takes the time to ask what your ideal Capri vacation looks like and then tries to make it happen. He offered to book dinners and arrange luggage transfers. What great owners. Thank you to Ettore, Michelle, and all the friendly staff for such a wonderful way to end my trip. The hotel is modern, with great A/C and wifi, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. It’s a five to ten minute walk to the city center, far enough to get away from the crowds and noise. The accommodation is fantastic, and the front patio has a beautiful view where breakfast is served in the morning. You can’t go wrong staying here.

I left my stay in Capri feeling endlessly inspired. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and cozy, with delicious breakfasts, a perfect location, and the best staff and owner. It had been a long time since I’d seen people approach their work with such sincerity, dedication, and respect for detail. It really touched my heart. The hotel also gave me useful advice that helped me steer clear of overly touristy places. This place, and the care and management behind it, will stay with me forever.

This small, family-run hotel is close to everything in Capri, about a four-minute walk from Piazza Umberto and right beside the Gardens of Augustus. The terraces and patio look out over the ocean. Breakfast is good, the rooms are clean, and everything works. The owners, a husband and wife who grew up in Capri, can suggest unusual hikes, places, views, and restaurants away from the tourist spots. Ettore was there during our stay.
