Hotel La Vega

We had dinner there one night, and the catch of the day, sea bass, was the best-prepared dish we’ve ever had. The room was beautiful, immaculate, and had breathtaking views. Everyone we dealt with, from reception to housekeeping and the restaurant, gave phenomenal service. Breakfast was included each morning, with pastries, fruit, yogurt, meat, and made-to-order scrambled eggs or omelettes. We’ll definitely return.

Coming back to Hotel La Vega feels like coming home, to Capri I love and to a family that keeps making the place shine. I’ve returned for years, and it still has that timeless beauty and breathtaking views, now with a fresh energy that feels elegant and genuine. Many thanks to Costantino and Cristina for taking the helm with the same passion and grace their parents brought here. They’ve kept La Vega’s soul while gently renewing it, and that makes every visit special.

The view from our room was stunning, and the hotel sits in a really quiet area. The staff were amazing and helped us book everything around the island. Best experience.

The pool area was lovely, clean, and relaxing, and the restaurant was a highlight for its food and service. The rest of the stay was disappointing for the price. The hotel is farther from the main area than we expected, and our room’s advertised full sea view was only partial, with two large trees blocking a good part of it. We were charged an extra €200 for a third bed because of a booking issue. It was a sofa bed, not the room-type upgrade we’d been led to expect. The shower pressure was extremely low; we reported it to the front desk on the first day, but nothing changed. We were also charged €5 for losing a spare key, which felt excessive in light of everything else. In response to your account, I need to clarify that I stayed in room 44, and the water problem was reported to the front desk on day one. It seems to have been ignored and left unresolved. The promised upgrade never happened, either. A week before we arrived, a system error led to an unexpected charge, and we had no choice about it. With such short notice, I felt that refusing it might have meant losing the reservation and having no viable option in Capri. That didn’t feel honest or fair. The two large trees in front of the room also blocked part of the view as advertised. I’ll report everything to Google. I’m not the one being dishonest. No further comments.
