Le Camerelle 83

We stopped for lunch while visiting Capri, but didn't stay at the hotel. The restaurant has a lovely view and really comfortable seats. We enjoyed the meal and thought the food was good. Lunch felt a little expensive for us, though it is Capri.

The woman serving on the terrace was an absolute delight. She's the one reason I'd give this place five stars. The rest of the waitstaff showed a level of undeserved confidence that felt almost majestic, like something for a documentary. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like an annoying chore interrupting their day of leaning at the bar and looking good in tailored linen, rather than paying guests. Order rubbery lobster and two bottles of wine and you might get a kiss on the forehead. The restaurant's claimed Capri elegance and standards are the opposite of what we experienced. What a shame. Capri deserves better.

We were exploring Capri on a day trip and stopped at Le Camerelle for lunch. We didn't stay overnight, but it was a lovely place to pause and take in the surroundings. The view was beautiful, and service was friendly and attentive throughout. The food was okay, and the fresh, simple Caprese salad was delicious, just what you want in Capri.

My wife and I had a great lunch here. We were in a quieter part of Capri, and both the food and service were five stars. Our server, Marilu, was especially lovely.
