The setting is stunning, with views and an atmosphere that make it feel as though you’ve escaped to another world. It’s quite a climb to get there, so it could be difficult for someone with mobility concerns, but we found the location perfect. Mr. Morgano kindly upgraded us to a beautiful, very spacious suite with two full bathrooms and spectacular ocean views. Breakfast service was excellent, with fresh made-to-order main dishes instead of a wasteful buffet. As a former consultant who’s stayed in countless hotels, I can honestly say that, as a regular first-time guest, I’ve never experienced service this exceptional. The staff-to-guest ratio felt like 3:1, there was always someone ready to help, and the attention to detail was remarkable. My only small complaint is that there were no irons or steamers in the room. The special pressing service takes over an hour, which is inconvenient in summer when you have lots of linens. I visited Capri for the first time after booking La Scalinatella through a generous offer, and couldn’t have been happier. I’ll absolutely return to Scalinatella and enthusiastically recommend it to friends and family.
