Relais La Rama

We stayed ten days and are already looking forward to a longer visit next time. The owner ran a restaurant for 35 years, and it shows in her breakfasts. They’re an experience in themselves, and she’s a joy to deal with. The house sits among vineyards in a very peaceful spot, with majestic mountain views. The place is very clean and cleaned daily, which is included in the price. There’s plenty of parking, two supermarkets nearby, a laundromat, and some very decent restaurants and pubs in Caprino. A popular restaurant next to the building is now rented out by the Rama Relais owner, so book ahead. The hiker and biker trail runs right by the property, so you can start a beautiful walk or ride through the countryside from there. It connects to many routes with different levels of difficulty, from easy flat trails to expert ones. It’s also well placed for day trips to Garda, about 15 minutes away, Bardolino, Lazise, Sirmione, Torri del Benaco, and Punta San Viglio, all worth seeing. The beaches in Garda and farther north are very good. There are only three rooms, so reserve well in advance.
