Caronia was lovely for long walks and time by the sea. I spent the last week of February there, and often walked to Mulino di Caronia, one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. You can get down to the river there. An older man warned me firmly on my first day to carry a stick and make noise to alert snakes, though I never saw any during my stay. The apartment, “Casa Caronia Marina near Cefalù,” was clean, well cared for, and had everything I needed. I was there in the colder months, and the air conditioner also works for heating. The hosts were kind and made a real effort to welcome me. The sea is right across the road. From the terrace, you can have breakfast and catch glimpses of it between the houses, with the waves audible too. Stairs opposite the apartment lead down to the shore. There are lots of stones, so swimming shoes make it easier to get in. Bare feet can work when the sea is calm. If you're arriving by train, keep in mind that during my stay trains stopped at Caronia station only every few hours. It wasn't a problem for me, although I had to get up very early for Palermo. There's also a little shop nearby with basics like bread, pasta, tins, and toiletries.

Michele was always easy to reach and glad to answer questions or suggest things to do. The place is cosy, well looked after, and nicely set up for a relaxing stay. I liked hearing the waves in the distance, and Cefalù and other main spots are a reasonable drive away.

The sound of the sea and birds has stayed with us as a lovely memory. Michele was a helpful host, sharing tips on sights and good places to eat. The apartment had everything we needed. We had a very nice stay, and really appreciated the hospitality and the lovely treat you brought us. Thanks again!

Right by the beach, with a supermarket, pharmacy, bar, and restaurant nearby. The owners are friendly and make you feel at home, and they're around whenever you need something. It's a really quiet, relaxing spot, and I'd absolutely come back. The place was very clean and had everything we needed: a fully equipped kitchen, living room with a big TV, fridge and air conditioning, plus a washing machine in the laundry room. The bathroom was spotless and had a shower. Upstairs there was a big bed, another single bed, and a locker. Wi-Fi was free too.

A sweet, clean apartment with all the equipment you need. The owners were very helpful. It's around 40 minutes from parc nebrodi. Highly recommend.
