Le Sequoie

We had the pool area and gym to ourselves, with a breathtaking mountain view. We went in mid-June, before most visitors and tourists had arrived, and had a terrific stay. The hotel is kept in great shape, the shared areas were spotless, and our room was cleaned every day. Every staff member was extremely friendly and ready to help.

We stopped here for lunch while driving to Rome, based on a friend's recommendation, and were glad we did. Everything tasted great, and both the food and service were excellent. It was our first visit, but definitely won't be our last. I can highly recommend the restaurant.

We chose our cuts of meat and had them trimmed the way we liked, and the wood-fire flavor was terrific. If you're driving between Rome and L'Aquila and love meat, this is well worth stopping for a meal. My Italian isn't great, and the staff weren't fluent in English either, but we managed to communicate. They were great!

We keep coming back, and somehow enjoy it more every time. The food is excellent and the service is very good. The Ravioli are worth trying in any form, and the truffles are excellent. The grilled meat is very good too. Don't miss the Scamorza cheese grilled over a flame until golden, it's a magical signature dish.
