The hotel’s exterior looks very nice, and the bar is lovely. The breakfast has plenty of choice, and the location is convenient. After a disappointing start, the stay got better and ended up fairly decent. At first the staff were unpleasant and didn’t respond to what we needed. The room felt dated, with old-fashioned furniture and decor. The bidet added to that impression. The bathroom was frustrating too: water pressure was extremely low, so showering took nearly five times longer than usual, and both hot and cold water took ages to come through. The faucet was visibly rusty, which didn’t seem professional. The first bed was unbelievably hard, like stone. When we asked to move, we were told every bed in the hotel was the same. That wasn’t true. After we insisted, we got another room with a very comfortable bed.

The restaurant service was top notch, and Simona was the best. She made our evenings. The staff overall gave amazing service and made me feel spoiled and well looked after. We had four wonderful days. The bed was a little hard, but that’s just my preference. Thanks for the five-star experience.

I was visiting as a tourist, though I understand many people stay here for business events. My stay was mostly positive, but I suspect luck played a part. I had a ground-floor room, which other reviews say is better than the upper-floor rooms, and apart from the issues below I had no complaints about it. The evening receptionist who checked me in was much friendlier than the daytime receptionist. On checkout morning it was raining heavily, and luckily the employee at the airport shuttle desk was there and could drive me to the airport. If he hadn’t been at the desk, for example, if he’d been out transporting guests, I would have had to walk with my luggage in the rain to the taxi stand on Via Aurelia, opposite Pasticceria Tiramisu Roma. The daytime receptionist seemed reluctant to call taxis for guests, perhaps thinking it wasn’t her job. The exterior and common areas were classy and spotless. Breakfast was nicely presented, though the same every day. There’s a Pewex supermarket practically next door, open 8:00-21:00, so getting water and supplies was easy. In the room, the lights were very dim except for the bright bathroom lights, there was only one plug for charging devices, and the curtains didn’t fully block the outside light. Earplugs meant noise wasn’t a problem for me. I took the metro or walked, never the buses, and didn’t find the location unpleasant. Would I stay again? If I felt lucky, yes.

The rooms have no soundproofing. If you care about sleep, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. You can hear people in nearby rooms, in the corridor, and on the floor above. At 5:30 in the morning, people upstairs woke us by walking back and forth, probably getting ready. That’s not okay. The bathrooms are dated. The toilet on the ground floor by the elevator was dirty, had no toilet paper, and didn’t lock. Once inside, you just had to hope nobody came in. The gym also costs extra, and it’s not as if it would be crowded even if it were free.
