The only slight drawback was the tractor sound when boats were taken down to the water at Circolo Nautico del Salento. There can also be a smell of exhaust, though it only happens a few times a day and didn't really affect our comfort. The apartment is a comfortable base for exploring the Adriatic coast. It's close to the sea, about 70 meters as the crow flies, and you can get into the water from the rocks near Circolo Nautico del Salento. Fresh fish and seafood can be bought straight from the fisherman there. The sandy beach is around 700 meters away, there's a well stocked grocery shop about 150 meters away, and Casalabate center is roughly a 15 minute walk. We found the apartment spacious and very clean, with air conditioning in both the bedroom and living room. The kitchen has what you need to cook, and there's also a washing machine, iron, and ironing board, handy for a longer visit. A balcony goes all the way around the apartment, so there's always a shady spot to sit. Evenings are quiet, with cicadas and the gentle sound of the sea.
