The owner is there if you need anything, and the place has a lot going for it. But the apartments need to be cleaner, and the outdoor areas need attention too. Would I come back? Not in its current state.

The quiet Tuscan countryside setting was lovely, and the outside area could be welcoming, but it was poorly kept. Cushions and sponges sat in piles for days, the barbecue grills were in awful shape, and storage items crowded the shared laundry room. We were two families, seven people in all, for ten days this summer. In Il Caminone, the tiny hall closet couldn't hold our clothes, and the apartment needed a lot of upkeep, as the photos show. The mosquito nets were missing or broken, there were spider webs in the pantry, and some basic kitchen things were missing or damaged. There was no colander, and some utensils were visibly rusty. It's a rental with real potential, and I hope this review encourages improvements. Still, for me, it was a surreal stay that I wouldn't repeat.

Breakfast in the gazebo, with jasmine and roses nearby and the lovely tableware provided, was a real treat. Laura and Salvo were warm and always available. The house is comfortable, clean, and welcoming, with the charm of an old country home. Its location makes it easy to enjoy the quiet countryside, reach the sea in a few minutes by car, and visit the lovely villages of the Cecina Valley. I highly recommend it.

Casale Marittimo is only five minutes away, a beautiful medieval village, and the sea takes about 15 minutes by car. We could also easily get to Cecina Mare, Vada, Rosignano, Volterra, Pisa, and other lovely beaches. The garden was well cared for and gave the kids room to play freely. We stayed for a week, but felt at home from day one. The owners were kind, friendly, and attentive. Ricordi Felici was spectacular, clean, and tastefully furnished. The ground floor had lots of space, with three children sleeping comfortably and room for a fourth in the double bed. Upstairs, the huge room felt private and had a beautiful view that stretched to the sea. A perfect holiday for us. We'll be back!

I'd happily do it again. The location and the owner left a great impression, and the gorgeous village of CASALE MARITTIMO is just a short walk away. I gave four stars because there's always room to improve, and a dishwasher would've been nice.
