A car would probably make this location easier to manage. That said, I found the stay deeply relaxing, with greenery all around and an unusual local building made from raw earth. My room was lovely and very comfortable, and Mr. Gianfranco was helpful while giving us plenty of privacy. I’d happily return if I get the chance.

Breakfast with Gianfranco, chatting in the morning, was a real treat. The owners were courteous and ready to help, and made us feel at home. The place itself is charming, clean, and welcoming. Just keep in mind that there’s no air conditioning in the rooms, which could matter on hot days. I’d definitely recommend it.

The room was unbearably hot and humid. After a two-and-a-half-hour drive, opening the door felt like stepping into an oven, and I was already sweating when we got the key. I asked the owner about the air conditioning, and he answered somewhat irritably that there wasn’t any and that he had no plans to install it. How could anyone expect guests to sleep in a room that must have been 40 degrees Celsius? The rest of the arrival was bad too: the place is very isolated, the entrance felt awkward and dangerous, and the parking was practically nonexistent and extremely inconvenient. We thought we were heading for paradise, but our weekend and wedding anniversary turned into a nightmare. We drove the two-and-a-half hours home, having wasted the fuel and tolls as well. Strongly not recommended.

Breakfast was delicious, with carefully chosen local organic products. The place is charming, clean, and comfortable, and the person running it is wonderful. They take real care in welcoming guests and looking after the beauty of the surrounding environment.
