The courtyard at Al Torrione was such a nice place to unwind, with shady spots under the trees for coffee or prosecco and little chickens wandering around. My room had a comfortable bed, a good shower, and a view over the courtyard. The hosts were warm from the moment I arrived and made me feel at home, which meant a lot on a business trip to Casalmaggiore to see colleagues and friends. The town itself is lovely and feels genuinely Italian. Al Torrione is right in the center, close to the River Po, with paths along the water for a jog or a walk. Their bio-food shop and restaurant serve delicious lunches with local ingredients, and breakfast was just right. I’d happily come back. Grazie Mille to the hosts for making the stay special, and see you next time!

The garden was beautiful and clearly well cared for, and there’s free parking on site. Inside, the common spaces are roomy and nicely furnished, while the bedrooms are kept in excellent shape. Breakfast was generous and good quality. The owners were genuinely kind and helpful throughout. We had a lovely stay and would absolutely recommend it.

The garden is the heart of the property, with lots of places to sit, shade from the trees, and some very friendly chickens. The tower and other buildings surround it. Our room was comfortable, with a very firm mattress, modern furnishings, and a few vintage details. It’s also just a short walk from the town’s main square. Breakfast was what you’d expect, including homemade tarts and biscuits. The owners were friendly and very willing to help with anything extra.

We had a really peaceful night here, and the rooms have a lovely, elegant design. A beautiful property, highly recommended if you’re travelling through Casalmaggiore.
