Hotel Due Fontane

The room is spacious and comfortable, and the customer service is better. It's easy to find, set in a peaceful area, and has a nice view.

Friendly owners.

My overall experience was terrible. There was mold throughout the place, and my room had a toilet that didn't work and a shower with no hot water. The entrance steps had no lighting at all, so they were completely invisible and created an obvious risk of falling. Breakfast was poor, just basic packaged croissants. I was also very upset to find that the floor staff had opened my luggage while I was away. Then, while I was waiting with my packed bags to leave, the elderly owner rudely and offensively called my wife a bad woman and refused to let her into my accommodation. We tried to explain that his theory was entirely imaginary and untrue, but he kept insisting, got irritated, and spoke to us in an inappropriate, rude way. Two elderly people run the establishment. For obvious reasons, I don't think they can provide satisfactory service, and in my opinion they shouldn't keep running the business. It was deeply regrettable and unacceptable to be caught up in that scene with my loved one.

I stayed for one night on a work trip. They'd run out of the single room I'd booked, so the family-run hotel gave me a double with two single beds at no extra charge. It was very spacious, and the extra room with a sofa and desk came in handy when I worked on my laptop. Dinner was very good, and breakfast was good too. I expected much less from a two-star hotel, so I was very satisfied.
