We went as a couple from August 17th to 21st and found the stay just as expected, with no problems or unpleasant surprises. Rocco, the friendly and helpful owner, met us at 9 pm, a time that suited us well, and showed us the renovated, well-furnished apartment. It had everything listed online: linens cleaned and changed every two days, a hairdryer, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a TV, and a Nespresso machine with eight pods. The bathroom was the one architectural drawback, a little small but arranged to make good use of the space. There was also a kitchenette and a mini-fridge stocked with water and cold drinks. For breakfast, we were sent to the partner café, "Caffè Italia." The included breakfast was coffee or cappuccino with a croissant, brioche, or other pastries. The B&B sits just outside Casamassima's historic center, with secure, convenient parking nearby. The location worked well for our beach-focused trip: Polignano a Mare was about 30 minutes away and Monopoli around 45. The town also has the main services and plenty of bakeries. We'd recommend the place to anyone looking to spend time at the beach, especially given the proximity and good value.

I often put up guests and work colleagues, and I'd feel confident sending them to Gli Avi. The rooms are lovely, tidy, and clean, and on arrival you're welcomed with Apulian gourmet products. The owner is a perfectionist and will look after you with real kindness and helpfulness. Prices are very reasonable, though it's best to book well ahead.
