B&B Casa Katia

We paid €100 a night and got a room that was different from the one we had booked, and much worse. There was no hot water because the heater was switched off, and turning on the shower flooded the whole room. The TV had no remote. When we were at the doorway speaking to staff about the problems before leaving, they shouted insults at us in Neapolitan dialect and seemed to nearly attack us. Three people pushed into the room so forcefully that I was frightened. I was shocked by the whole experience.

Our room was on the second floor, where there's also a lovely terrace overlooking the sea. The rooms were clean and well cared for, and had air conditioning. The place faces the sea and is just a couple of steps from the center. The managers were warm and friendly, and we'd happily come back.

We only stayed one night, from September 10th to 11th, but we'll return. The welcome was full of kindness, courtesy, and helpfulness, with smiles that are hard to come by. It's a simple place, yet the people running it make it feel magnificent, with a welcome that could rival a much more luxurious hotel.

The owner was welcoming and courteous, and the location is excellent for the beaches. The breakfast was decent, but the building is old, the rooms are small, and the bathrooms are cramped with no shower tray. The sheets felt synthetic, and cleanliness was only basic. I wouldn't recommend it.
