Hotel Candia

A real highlight was the thermal pool and the colorful garden filled with lemons and other fruit. We also loved the view from our room, and the beach was an easy walk away. The owners were so warm and welcoming. You can tell they’ve run the place with a lot of passion for many years. We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed our holiday. Until next time!

We stayed as a couple from August 24th to 30th and found the hotel quiet, with a very family-friendly atmosphere. Mr. Giuseppe Silvestri and his children, Gaetano and Anna, were genuinely friendly. Our room was clean and cool enough that we didn’t feel we needed the air conditioning. Breakfast was good, made fresh daily with quality products. We had no trouble with drunken or partying guests like you might find at other hotels. The location is excellent. You can walk down to the seafront by stairs and a small road, or catch shuttles that pass constantly just outside the hotel. There’s no night guard, but things still felt under control. I highly recommend it, and we’ll be back soon.

We stayed for four nights between late July and early August, and left reluctantly. It was peaceful enough that we couldn’t hear other guests, and the location is central, with the bus stop nearby making it easy to get around. The thermal pool was a lovely place to relax, and we disagree with reviews calling it dirty. It’s a real gem surrounded by nature. If you want a quiet stay, book without hesitation. Mr. Giuseppe is a wonderful man, and his advice helped make our holiday a dream and led us to the island’s most beautiful places. His son, Mr. Gaetano, was elegant, friendly, prompt, and helpful. The rooms were spotless, and the hostess kept things very tidy. Breakfast was limited but good and high quality, which we preferred to having lots of mediocre choices. We’ll definitely return. The croissants at breakfast were a real treat. I felt at home here, and the friendly staff were always helpful. It was quiet and peaceful, exactly what I needed. The room was fairly clean and had a terrace with a view. We spent time by the pool on the third floor, surrounded by a magnificent view. I was very satisfied.
