Agriturismo Baldassari

This agrotourismo is a little gem out in the wild, even though it's far from everything. I arrived for a winter stay already upset after thieves had taken things from our home in Agriano, including a very important electric generator that makes 110v for our travel trailer, which came over by boat from America. The property itself is beautiful, solidly built, and well cared for. My lower-level room was cold when I arrived, and the radiant heat wasn't doing much. After I asked twice, the best kicked in and it got warm enough for me to take off my hat and try to sleep. I woke up cold around 3:30, and by 5:30 the room and radiator were cold again. It stayed that way until the sun finally shone through around 9:30 and warmed up my morning. The bed was very firm, and the pillow felt like a rectangular brick. The bedding, though, was lovely cotton. The bathroom layout was awkward: the toilet is tucked so tightly into a corner that you have to fit your knees under the sink. At least you can rest your head on the sink if you're tired. 😆

The biscuits at breakfast were the real highlight for me. We tried them and bought some straight away at their shop, they really are world-class. The food quality was excellent, and the pizza was superb. Everyone was absolutely kind.
