It’s only 15 minutes from Pisa airport, which made things especially convenient for our flight. We also had access to the shared kitchen, a real help since we needed to work that afternoon. The room and garden were lovely, and the owner was especially welcoming and kind. I loved the old photos and all the little details that show how much care has gone into the place. And the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in. Totally recommended :)

The garden is lovely, and the owners are very friendly and kind. Gluten-free food was available at breakfast. A few things could be better: drinking water in the room would be helpful, and a kettle in the shared sitting room would let guests make a hot drink. It felt strange not to be offered anything on arrival. The towels provided were quite old, so nicer ones would be good.

Don’t miss the famous cakes made by Grandmum Paola and Uncle Vania at breakfast. The rooms are excellent, and this is a superb countryside resort near Pisa, with amazing views of Monti Pisani and good access for trekking, mountain biking, and more. It’s also 20 minutes from the astonishing architectural masterpiece, the Miracle square and the lining tower. Enjoy your stay.

The mountain trails make this a good base for anyone who likes hiking, and the beach is close by when you want a quieter day. There are also big cities nearby for easy day trips. I’d recommend it for a peaceful stay, especially with breakfast served in the summer kitchen.
