Little sweet escape

The owners are really kind.

After a day visiting the palace in scorching heat, I wasn’t even offered a bottle of water. The bathroom was new, clean, and functional. The bed wasn’t very comfortable for my taste, though the value for money was excellent.

The hosts were kind and welcoming, especially given that we’d had to book here after the boiler broke at another B&B. Still, the stay wasn’t great. The room was far from the center and faced a very noisy street, and there was no privacy between rooms. The bathroom needed a complete overhaul: no toiletries, a door that wouldn’t close, and cold water. Breakfast wasn’t included, even though the description says there’s a buffet.

The owner was very kind, and the heating worked. The room was nice but very basic, and lacked attention to detail. The bathroom had been renovated. The location isn’t convenient for either the station or the center. Buses are infrequent, and finding a useful stop is almost impossible, though there’s a pizzeria, pharmacy, and Dodecà supermarket just a few meters away. No hairdryer was provided, but the owner lent us one when we asked. The walls between rooms are thin enough that we could hear other guests talking and showering in the middle of the night.
