I Ginepri

The fireworks at midnight on Saturday woke our two little ones, who were really scared, so that cost the hotel a star. The honeymoon party itself was fairly quiet and well handled. We were staying in a second-floor superior room with a balcony, sharing it as a family of four with two kids aged 2 and 3. It felt a bit cramped, but we were mostly out at the beach anyway. This is a welcoming family-run place, with a nice atmosphere, clean rooms, friendly staff at reception, in the restaurant and on the beach, and good food. Best hotel in the village for us.

Breakfast was a proper feast, and our last dinner, with its traditional seafood dishes, was fabulous. The staff were attentive, the rooms stayed cool and comfortable, and the hotel sits right on the seafront beside clean sand and fine gravel. We couldn't have been happier with our stay.

We'd been hauling backpacks across Europe by train, so booking a junior suite was a treat, and it's been bliss. The hot tub, or cool tub in the heat outside, was lovely. We've hardly left the room or balcony because we haven't needed to.

The sea view, cocktails and food were exciting, but the way reception dealt with checkout was really unfriendly. The hotel had blocked the amount on our card, yet we were told to pay in cash. Our group of eight ended up paying twice and is still waiting for the card hold to be released. Really not tourist friendly.
