Our apartment was roomy, clean and cosy, right by the garden and just a few metres from the large pool. It was still warm enough to swim in October. Laura made us feel very welcome and shared lots of ideas for places to see, excursions and restaurants. She speaks German, English and Italian, and once a week she puts on a pizza day in the garden barbecue area for anyone who wants to join. She also gave us fresh vegetables from local farmers and olive oil made by her family. This lovely agriturismo is set in peaceful Tuscan countryside, about 10-15 minutes from beautiful medieval villages, hills and the beach. We had a wonderful October stay and definitely recommend it.

The new pool was a bright spot, and it's well looked after. I had already raised all these points with the owner: on arrival nobody answered the intercom, so I called her and waited about ten minutes for her to come. The place has a lot of potential, but the apartment was badly furnished and not cleaned well. Bathroom fittings looked a little dated, and the shower had a lot of limescale. I also had to ask for an adapter to connect the TV, and there were no knives. I knew this wasn't a five-star hotel, but at the price I paid I expected more.

We brought our dog and he was made very welcome, with room to wander freely around the grounds. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and had great excursion tips. Our apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped, while the generous grounds have pleasant seating spots, barbecue facilities and a nicely landscaped, good-sized pool. It's centrally placed, a few kilometres from several beaches and the Tuscan hills, with shops nearby. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.
