We came back to the inn for our third stay and had another wonderful visit. The family who runs it are so friendly and accommodating, and go out of their way to make your stay what you want it to be. The meals were AWESOME, with delicious local dishes, and trying something new is always fun here because we're never disappointed. Our clean room had everything we needed. From the inn, it was easy to explore nearby towns and enjoy the beautiful Gran Sasso National Park again. Castel del Monte is lovely to wander around on foot, with its rich history all around you. I can't recommend this place enough if you want to experience the Italian countryside and everything this area has to offer.

Dinner and breakfast were both outstanding, with excellent local food and warm hospitality. The rooms had lots of character and were beautifully furnished, making for an authentic, cozy stay. The people at La Locanda were welcoming, charming, and attentive throughout, and made us feel at home. A wonderful stay from beginning to end.

The room's stone walls, lovely decor, and fireplace made the place feel really special. The welcome salami and ricotta won me over right away, and were a delicious, unexpected taste of local food. Warm toasted bread with olive oil was a thoughtful extra, and their bread was the best I've had, fresh and light with great grains and texture. It was tasty enough to snack on by itself. The chef kept surprising me right through dessert. The ragù was delicious, and so were the original house liqueurs. I left full and happy. You get plenty of good food for a fair price. If you're passing through, give it a try. Thanks, I'll definitely come back.

The traditional dishes were excellent and came in generous portions. The standout was the "sottana della strega" (witch's skirt), so good that we ordered another. While we waited a short time, they brought out fried sage, local ricotta, and bruschetta on cereal bread. The restaurant was welcoming, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time. Compliments to everyone at the inn, we'll be back!

Marco, Martina, and their mother are wonderful people. We spent 6 days at the inn in September and were treated with great kindness from the moment we arrived. It's a truly lovely place, and the food is excellent quality. ❤️
